Since its launch on 1st July 2012, the CMFI Music Academy has trained or retrained over 900 singers and instrumentalists from more than 30 Christian denominations. Many of them are now serving the Lord more effectively in their various communities.

Equipping the Body of Christ with competent music ministers is a powerful strategy in spiritual warfare — one that enables us to stand firm against the infernal principalities seeking to flood the Church with harmful music. It is a way of preserving our youth and other believers from drifting away from the ways of God towards worldly values.

As we draw closer to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must resolutely resist the devil’s schemes to devalue the ministry of singers and instrumentalists in the Church. We must work with the Lord to restore this sacred office within God's house — by investing our time and finances to provide our church members with biblically grounded music training, and by setting apart some to devote themselves fully to the only ministry that will last forever.

The emergence of consecrated, Spirit-filled, and well-trained singers and instrumentalists of all ages — capable of performing songs birthed in God's presence — will play a decisive role in the spiritual battles of the end times. It will usher in the reign, power, and glory of the Lord upon His Church and upon our society.

This is our commitment: to train this special category of God’s servants according to the clear model the Lord has shown us.

To Him alone be all the glory. Amen.

Vision

To train and equip a generation of consecrated, competent, and Spirit-filled music ministers who work towards the fulfilment of God’s eternal purposes through sanctified music.

We long to see singers and instrumentalists of all ages emerge in every local assembly — deeply rooted in Scripture, sanctified, filled with divine power, and anointed to usher in God’s presence through songs received in the secret place.

Mission

Our mission is to:

  • Intensively train singers, musicians, choir leaders, and sound technicians in a fast-paced and structured environment that combines musical excellence, biblical foundations, and spiritual discipline;

  • Retrain and sanctify already active musical talents by aligning them with the spiritual and doctrinal requirements of true music ministry according to God;

  • Prepare music ministers capable of working closely with church leadership to bear the burden of revival and salvation in this generation;

  • Protect Christian youth from the seductive pull of worldly music by raising up a faithful army of musicians rooted in holiness, obedience, and love for God;

  • Raise a new standard in Christian music training through intensive programmes like Crack Music in One Month, combining rigour, piety, and competence.

Led by the Holy Spirit and in obedience to the mandate received from our Lord Jesus Christ, we carry out this mission for His glory alone.

Christian Foundation

At CMFI Music Academy, music is a ministry. We don’t just train musicians — we train biblical music ministers.

Times of worship, intercession, Bible meditation, and spiritual workshops are an integral part of the training. Like the Levites chosen by God to serve exclusively in the temple (1 Chron. 25:7), our Academy prepares men and women of all ages to devote themselves to this eternal ministry.

Music is taught in the light of Scripture as a powerful spiritual weapon in the fight against worldly influence (2 Chron. 20). Every song, every note becomes an act of worship, a proclamation of God’s glory, and a channel for His presence.

The entire programme is marked by moments of prayer, fellowship, and consecration — where students learn to walk in holiness, humility, and the joy of service.

The Founders

Pastor Jude Yetshe Essiene gave his life to the Lord at the age of 17. At the time, he was a budding guitarist. His musical and spiritual journey began in Bafoussam, within the Evangelical Protestant Church (EPE), where he served God by playing for the choir. His early spiritual mentors included Reverend Schneider and Brother Tim Nwa, while Sister Deborah led the choir.

His path later took him to Yaoundé for university studies, where he was quickly spotted by Brother Erb, who brought him into the CMFI’s Great Choir, Les Semeurs. There, he served faithfully and rose in the music ministry until he became its director. He was also one of the founding members of WCM (World Christian Music), with whom he served actively during his youth.

It was in the heart of this faithful service that God called him into a deeper ministry. At the age of 37, he was ordained into the College of Elders, with a prophetic word highlighting a specific mission: to train musicians of all ages who walk in holiness, are filled with the Holy Spirit, and anointed to sing praises drawn from God’s presence — songs capable of ushering in God's presence and spreading from Yaoundé to the ends of the earth.

Under the inspiration and encouragement of his spiritual father, Brother Zacharias T. Fomum, he received a clear mandate to establish biblical music training. Although the vision was put on hold for a time, the burden returned with renewed intensity years later. With the support of his wife, Sister Grace Yetshe Essiene, and with the approval of church elders, he officially launched the music training in 2012 within the local church facilities.

Since then, CMFI Music Academy has been training music ministers based on the model of 1 Chronicles 25:7 — combining spiritual life, musical excellence, and full consecration to the Lord.

Together with his wife Grace, Pastor Jude leads this work with passion and faithfulness. Together, they train, mentor, and inspire a new generation of singers and instrumentalists after God's own heart.

Their calling is clear: to raise a mighty musical army to support the battles of the Lord in these end times. Their burden is spiritual, moral, material, and financial — but above all, they are calling all Christian musicians to join this biblical vision.
“Come and be trained to worship God with your life and your art.”
